Challenger Gray & Christmas has been getting some media traction based on their splashy report indicating that 2006, on the whole, was a very bad year for CEO job security - the worst in fact since CG&C began tracking such things in 1999. According to their report 1,347 chief executives got the boot through November of 2006. Check out this lengthy article from MSNBC, which offers more details on the Challenger CEO report's findings.
